This year, brothers have expressed interest in playing more intramural sports. The Sports Committee took a poll and organized a volleyball team to play against other organizations on campus. In order to register with Student Recreation, six females had to sign up to participate a week before the first game. There were few to no males interested in playing, however the social committee provided an opportunity for males to play in a co-ed pick-up game later in the week at the campus gym.  Our first game was October 10th at 9:45pm. Six brothers and a guest played on Alpha Zeta’s team.  Our team faced a tough group that included many club volleyball players and worked hard to keep the game close. Although we did not come out with a victory, the team enjoyed laughing and spending time together.  The game lasted about half an hour and was a great way for brothers to relieve stress and take a break from studying. Brothers can also work on their teamwork and communication skills. The team is excited about the start of the season and hopes to make the playoffs.
