On Wednesday, September 11th, the Alpha Zeta-Cal Epsilon Chapter at Fresno State took part in its first, "Plate Up With a Professional." This dinner allowed members to connect with Fresno State and Alpha Zeta alumnus Megan Jacobsen, the membership director at the California Grape and Tree Fruit League and was recently announced to be in the Central Vallley's "40 Under 40," Class of 2013. During this meeting Megan shared her experiences at Fresno State and in Alpha Zeta. She emphasized that being a true leader and scholar involves expanding your horizons beyond what you already know and are comfortable with. She also shared with us her work in the professional agriculture industry, giving us important advice on interviews, career searching and preparation. Members followed up with an open discussion, having a question/answer session with Ms. Jacobsen. The Alpha Zeta-Cal Espilon chapter enjoyed this unique opportunity and looks forward to the future Plate Up With a Professional Dinners.
