On the 20thof January ten Americans arrived in Puerto Rico from different states, including New Jersey, North Carolina, California and Missouri. The first day we picked them up at the capital of the island, San Juan and then traveled to where they were going to stay.We took a walk around the town to show them about the culture. The second day we visited "Casa Pueblo” in Adjuntas.Aself-help organization initiative that promotes community through individual and collective participation and develop proposed voluntary alternatives to protect the environment, affirmed cultural and human values. Then we visited the farm of "Agricultural Experiment Sub-Station". There we received guidance on the process of ground coffee. We had the opportunity to see the machines used and even taste coffee at the moment.Once the tour was over, we went to the town of Utuado, where we visited the "Skylight Cave” and saw bats and a beautiful view.At night we fraternized on the beaches of the town of Rincon. The next day they were given a tour in "Altamira’s beef cattle Farm” in the town of Cabo Rojo. The participants helped set up hay. Then we went to the beach of Combate where a representative of "Sea Grant” from the University of Puerto Rico Sea Grant College Program, which is an Educational Program dedicated to the conservation and sustainable use of the ocean and coastal resources of Puerto Rico, the U.S.Virgin Islands and The Wider Caribbean area, gave us an orientation. After, we enjoyed riding kayaks and swimming at the beach. At night we made a BBQ where we share and we danced salsa and me rengue. On their last day we took them where they saw the Old San Juan. This trip had a goal to leave visitors with a historical, cultural, agricultural, service and learning experience.
