After one of the pledge meetings, the pledges stayed in the meeting room and had a paddle making party. Each pledge is required to complete a paddle and obtain various signatures from the deans, the officers, and active and alumni members.
The pledges can decorate their paddles however they want, but as an incentive, the best decorated paddle will receive an award at the induction ceremony and a prize. Some of the pledges painted their paddles, while one pledge, Stephen Myers, used a wood burner and outlined his paddle and signed it. The creativity amongst the pledges is amazing, and their paddles are looking really good!
