It was a great networking event for our members to meet and speak with faculty on Cornell's campus from all academic areas. Even more than that, it was a time when we could ...

This year the Florida Chapter has asked the position of Publicity Coordinator to be as active as possible. As a response we have had many shirts created for events, such as the ones our members wore to Sea World just over a week ago (which you can see our members showing off at the penguin exhibit). The shirts pictured from this semester include our "semester" shirt (which is a shirt not for a specific event), the Sea World shirt and a shirt for our upcoming "Woodser" bonfire....

This semester we had an excellent turnout at our annual Faculty Dinner. This year we tried something a little different than our normal dinner at the chapter’s house. With the support of the Corporation Board, we were able to pay for a caterer and host the event on campus at the Physical Sciences Building. In the Baker Portico, thirty actives and twenty-five faculty members and local alumni joined together to enjoy conversation and dinner from Kendra’s Catering...

The council is made up of representatives from clubs throughout the college and meets every other week. Three brothers attend regular meetings to discuss news, events or issues in the college. Different clubs cook a meal for the council before meetings and we cooked Thursday, April 11th.  The council representatives sent out a sign-up sheet for brothers to bring potluck dishes, drinks and desserts...

Alumni Event has become a tradition at Alpha Zeta's Cook Chapter. We respect our alumni and are honored that they take time out of their lives to meet the new members and reconnect with brothers every semester over a delicious meal. This semester, Alumni Event was held at the East Grand Buffet on March 9, 2013 from 4pm-7pm. 30 or so alumni and about 50 brothers attended the event. We even saw a few older alumni come back that had lost touch with the chapter for several years. It was a wonderful evening filled with funny stories being told about the "good old days" and many of the new members left the event with a feeling of family and home...

During Agriculture Awareness Week we hold a forum regarding the issues in agriculture to help educate the brotherhood, as well as the public.  We advertise this forum throughout the week through social media and word of mouth.  This year the forum was held on Wednesday at 5:30pm. The theme was Food Safety and Security.  The Assistant Commissioner of Agriculture, Joe Reardon, opened up the forum by giving his story of how he became involved in Agriculture and how he got to where he is today.  We then heard from other panelists, including a NCSU animal science professor, high school teacher, and a student...
