The Friday after Roundtable, all brothers and new members are asked to attend an overnight retreat at Roanoke Christian Service Camp. Roundtable interviews were held the Sunday, January 26th at 9:00 am in our chapter meeting room in Weaver hall. This interview is the next step in the North Carolina Chapter's recruitment process for new brothers. NC goes to Adventure Landing

On Friday February 21st brothers of the North Carolina Chapter attended Adventure Landing. Adventure Landing has may fun attractions such as mini golf, an arcade, laser tag, go karts, and batting cages. This social event was attended by BLANK brothers. Everyone had a great time! These social activities allow brothers to bond in fellowship and get out a little friendly competition between Alphas and Zetas. Everyone like this activity so much they plan to go again sometime soon.

On Wednesday February 12th, classes at North Carolina State were canceled due to the snow storm. Although the university wasn’t functioning in the six inches of winter wonderland, our members were out and playing in the snow. Between snowball fights, running with the dog, and sliding down the hill it is safe to say that all of us had a blast. Snow days rarely happening in North Carolina, so when it does the North Carolina Chapter definitely takes advantage.

On Wednesday February 19th, the North Carolina Chapter initiated 14 new brothers into the Fraternity. Over thirty five brothers attended initiation this spring. The evening started out with a welcome potluck dinner at 6:15 pm. This way new brothers and older brothers had an opportunity to meet and converse to get to know each other better. On January 30, the Cornell chapter welcomed 14 new members with our pinning and bid acceptance ceremony.  Our new members will now begin our new member education program, where they will learn chapter history, AZ history, traditions, AZ's impact on our campus, as well as bond and have fun while getting to know active members and alumni! We are looking forward to everything that they will bring to AZ this year!

NC First Meeting of Semester

On August 28th, the North Carolina Chapter had its first official meeting of the Semester. Chancellor Alvey presented a welcome speech to the brotherhood. Attendance was very high with active and non-active members. Brothers enjoyed seeing each other after a long summer break. Upcoming events such as service, social, and candidate week were discussed. Officers also took pictures for the North Carolina Chapter Website.

On Friday December 6th, around 15 brothers went out to the Bill Fike crops garden to take a picture with the Key. This picture is going to be given as thank you gifts to our biggest supporters of the project and Alpha Zeta in General. The picture was to be given to Brenda, the manager of the Crops Garden, and Dr. Bob Patterson, Professor and advisor at North Carolina State University

On Friday October 11th, a group of brothers went to landscape the Key, which was recently moved to the Bill Fike crops garden. Brothers dug a large hole for a golden mop bush and spread landscape fabric to prevent weeds from sprouting through the top layer of mulch. Once that was done brothers cut small pieces of stone to act as stepping stones around the key.
