Running for a Good Cause

On a brisk Saturday morning, a few members from the Cal-Epsilon chapter took the time to take a few steps for a good cause.

With thousands of people suffering from disabilities, the United Cerebral Palsy foundation in the Central Valley organized a running event whose proceeds benefited the sick and disabled. Cal-Epsilon Chancellor, Monique Bienvenue and Censor, Jessica Fernainy actually ran the race while other officers cheered them on as well as the hundreds of other participants running...

Winter Banquet

Winter Banquet

The Cal Epsilon chapter finished out the new year in style with the Winter Banquet! Members got a chance to dress up and socialize over some delicious food at the Smittcamp Alumni house at Fresno State. Professor Don Vasconcellos gave a very inspiring speech about the importance of the perserverance in the agricultural industry. New members were recognized, as well as those going to NALC. A silent auction finished off the festivities, and many members walked away with Fresno State paraphernalia and fresh-baked goodies. The evening concluded with a photo-op by the wonderful Christmas tree! We can't wait for next year!

Orange Gleaning at President Welty's House

A few weeks ago, members from the Alpha Zeta Cal Epsilon Chapter spent an overcast Saturday morning picking oranges at California State University, Fresno's current president's house.

With hundreds of oranges to pick, AZ members partnered up with members from Alpha Gamma Rho, Plant Science students and 4-H. Together, we gleaned the orange trees and socialized over coffee and donuts.

This December, Cal Epsilon continued a beloved holiday tradition of Operation Shoebox! Cal Epsilon partnered with a local food bank, the Bulldog Pantry, to provide a Christmas present for underprivileged children. Members spent several weeks collecting wrapping paper and shoeboxes, and then officers went out and bought fun toys, toiletries, and educational supplies based on gender and age. On December 14th, members gathered together for some delicious food, Christmas music, and a wrapping extravaganza...

Alpha Zeta Coffee Break

Originally posted by Paulina M. Pinheiro

On January 26th Cal-Epsilon hosted Coffee Beak with Alpha Zeta. We provided coffee and donuts in the Agriculture quad to all passing students. All of our chapter officers were present and handed out flyers about Alpha Zeta. It was a welcome back event that helped promote Alpha Zeta in our Agriculture College. The flyers had fun facts about Alpha Zeta and information about how to join. The event was a success and we hope that it will bring even more members into our thriving chapter!
