On Saturday April 21st, 4 brothers walked their dogs around Downtown Raleigh during the K9-3K dog walk. Our team raised $135 for the Wake County SPCA animal shelter. Donations support an animal shelter that was able to help over 16,200 animals last year. Last semester, many brothers volunteered in the shelter’s food pantry and enjoy working with the shelter. Each person raised at least $25 to participate in a great cause while socializing dogs. A couple team members even agreed to walk other people’s dogs. Brothers as well as the dogs enjoyed the event.

Many organizations on campus participate in this fundraiser and if an organization raises over $100 they get recognition on the T-shirt they give all of the participants.

The Florida Chapter cleaned up our adopted road for the first time this spring. The members that participated in the clean up did not mind taking time out of their schedule on a Thursday evening to put the trash back where it belongs and off the street. Usually our road clean-ups take place on a weekend in the morning to avoid the heat of the day but our service chair, Jaclyn Irwin, planned the evening clean up to help add variation to the times of our events...

With all the smores fixings bought, the Florida Chapter was off to another successful woodser. Every semester we take a road trip to a local campsite in the middle of what seems to be nowhere for our Woodser. We reserved a campground at Kate's Fish Camp where the ranger came out and helped set up our bonfire to make delicious smores! Members gathered around the fire to share stories about their semester and to meet the newest pledges...
