On the last Friday in April, the Cornell chapter of Alpha Zeta hosted our traditional Ag Day to raise awareness about Agriculture and its many facets. There were several animals, including a fistulated cow, chickens, sheep, and a horse, as well as tractors and farming implements. We served food and talked to people passing through the quad about the animals, machinery, and Alpha Zeta. Many clubs came and set up tables and activities as well, ranging from mealworm chili tastings to barrel racing. Several checkoffs were also present, to show their products and talk about their companies. Afterwards, we held a grilling competition, which was judged by Jeffrey Perry, faculty member Pat Brennan, and two students from last semesters winning team. The event went very well and we had a great turnout, especially considering it was 30 degrees and snowing! We would like to thank Nicholas Culver ‘16 for organizing the whole event.
