This Saturday, October 15th, the North Carolina chapter had the honor and privilege of preparing a meal for our local heroes at Fire Station 20 in Raleigh, NC. We had a blast making homemade chili, cornbread, and chocolate pies from treasured family recipes passed down for generations at a Brother’s apartment before then taking the food to the local fire station. The firefighters were incredibly grateful for the food and even invited us to stay and dine with them. After some delicious food, great conversation, and a couple of laughs, we said goodbye and ensured them that we would be back with more delicious food another time. We are so thankful for the opportunity to serve these heroes who risk their lives everyday keeping our community safe.
