California Epsilon members came as team Alpha Zeta to compete in the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology’s annual Olympics. This was also the centennial celebration for the college of Ag celebrating its 100th birthday. The Olympics consisted of a series of Ag related games such as cattle judging as well as memory and taste test activities. Team Alpha Zeta and about 13 other teams participated in the pre games. Team Alpha Zeta and two other teams were selected to move on to the final games. The Final games were relay games consisting of planting seeds in soil while blind folded, filling wine bottles with only water soaked sponges, a watering activity and college of Ag trivia. Team Alpha Zeta was announced the winners of the JCAST Olympics becoming the first team to become consecutive two time champions. The team received a golden cow bell trophy signifying first place. It was a great experience for current members as well as the new members on the team. Competing in the Olympics created an awesome opportunity to build new relationships with our new members. It was also a great opportunity to represent our chapter and its place in the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.
