Meet the 2017-2019 High Council


High Chancellor, Jackie Mundt

Jackie is a proud alumni of the California Epsilon Chapter at California State University, Fresno. Since completing a BS in Agricultural Communications in 2009 she has been employed by Dow AgroSciences in several roles including Sales Representative, Brand Implementation Specialist and her current role of Technical Products, Product Manager.
 
Jackie's passion for agriculture was instilled at an early age on her families' dairy farm in Wisconsin. Her later involvement in organizations like 4-H and FFA created a passion for leadership and service that have carried over into her involvement with Alpha Zeta. Jackie has served on the National Alpha Zeta Board of Directors since 2009 and was elected to the Fraternity High Council in 2013.

High Treasurer, Chris Castellano
Chris works as a research support specialist for the Northeast Regional Climate Center in Ithaca, N.Y.. He received his B.S. in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University and his M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University at Albany, SUNY. Chris joined Alpha Zeta as an undergraduate student and served as Pledge Master, Philanthropy Chair, and a member of the CALS Charitable Trust Student Scholarship Committee. Since graduating from Cornell, he has remained actively involved with Alpha Zeta on both the chapter level and the national level.

High Scribe, Cassandra Hiner

Cassandra Hiner is a California Eta Chapter Member at California State University, Chico. She came to Chico State hoping to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian, but has changed her plans a few times since. She is currently pursuing her B.S. in Spanish, with a minor in Animal Science and Mathematics. While she is no longer an agriculture major, her love for agriculture remains, which is why she has kept her Animal Science minor, which she hopes to use in her future. She became an Alpha Zeta member in Spring 2013 and served as Chancellor during the 2014-2015 academic year.  

She is aspiring to be a high school math/ag teacher, with the possibility of becoming a Principal further down the line. She is currently getting ready to apply to the credential program, and plans to further her education with a masters degree. Since joining Alpha Zeta, Cassandra has attended the last two NALCs and hopes to continue her involvement at the local and national level.

Student Representative, Kellen Habib

Kellen Habib is currently the Chancellor of the California Epsilon Chapter at California State University, Fresno. He is pursuing his B.S. in Animal Science with an emphasis in Pre-Veterinary sciences. Kellen became an Alpha Zeta member in Spring 2015 and immediately became heavily involved in the chapter.

Following his study at Fresno State, Kellen will pursue veterinary school and a Ph.D. to work in researching infectious diseases in livestock animals. He is currently the President of the California State FFA Conference Committee and works as a professor’s assistant in the Department of Animal Sciences and Agricultural Education.  In addition to Alpha Zeta, he is a member of the Collegiate Farm Bureau, ASAS, and holds the American Degree as am alumnus of FFA.
