The Florida Chapter had the amazing opportunity to initiate its newest members into our chapter. The night was beautiful and matched our excitement and gratitude to the members, staff, and initiates that came out. The ceremony was a traditional set up allowing the initiates an inside into what we were founded on and what we strive towards as an organization. After the ceremony we joined in congratulating the newest members of our chapter with dinner where they sat with their sponsors, our advisors, and members. During the dinner everyone socialized about various topics at the different tables in the room then finally coming back together for speeches by the pledge master, Saajan Panikar and chancellors of both the chapter, Charles Doyle, and the pledge class, Christine Adams. The keynote speaker of the night Jaclyn Irwin talked to the attendees about her rare study abroad trip to Antarctica. She told us of the adventures they took and the wildlife they tracked as they completed their trip. The night ended with a slideshow presentation of what the new initiates did over their semester of pledging and everyone parting ways. All in all the night went smoothly and everyone enjoyed themselves. We are all extremely proud and happy to find these new members in our family.
