The Cornell Chapter of Alpha Zeta Fraternity hosted an Alpha Zeta booth proudly representing the National Alpha Zeta Fraternity in the FFA Career & College Expo at the 2012 National FFA Convention.

At our booth, we created a map showcasing where all of our chapters and their respective institutions are located, and created an AZ pamphlet that specifically targeted FFA members detailing the many strengths and opportunities available in Alpha Zeta. We provided the game "corn-hole" as a relaxing way for students to approach the booth where our active brothers and sisters were able to engage them in conversation, educate them about Alpha Zeta and tell them all about the many leadership and agricultural opportunities available including NALC and the National Service Project.

We talked to approximately 100 high school FFA members and college students who had some level of interest in AZ, including getting the contact information for about 30 students who wanted more information, and were able to network with many parents and teachers who wanted information for their students and/or children. We were also to meet alumni from several chapters who were at the convention chaperoning students, and were able to meet active brothers and sisters who were at the convention representing FFA or their respective colleges including actives from the Morrill Chapter, the Townshend Chapter, and the North Carolina Chapter.

Overall, our chapter believes that this was a great experience and a great way to get the name of Alpha Zeta Fraternity into the minds of the future agricultural leaders that are in the National FFA Organization and we hope that this is an event that can be continued and involve more chapters. We think that if this event is continued, with more advanced planning we can reach even more students and make this event even more successful.
