This past Friday, April 21st, some of the brother’s from the North Carolina Chapter brought a delicious meal to our local firefighters at Fire Station 20 near campus in Raleigh, NC. As always everyone participating met at our Service Chair’s apartment to help cook the meal before heading over to the fire station. This time we made cheeseburgers, chicken salad sandwiches, and french fries. We also brought a fruit platter to go with the meal and all of the fixings that the firefighters might desire on their cheeseburgers. For dessert one of the brothers made an Oreo cookie dessert for everyone to enjoy. All of us ate together and enjoyed good conversation. This is one of our favorite service projects and it is always a joy being able to spend quality time with our local heroes and to help show them our appreciation for the work that they do. We can’t wait to bring them another delicious meal (which will be next Tuesday) and get to know them even more. We have created a wonderful bond between our chapter and the fire station and know that we are always welcome to bring them food.
