What's the dress code?Thursday evening (Dinner/Welcome Session) Wear your letters! Dress casual. Bring a jacket for the events following dinner. Also be sure to bring an umbrella, as it may rain. Casual is jeans; T-shirts are exceptable. Friday Morning (Tours) Business casual. All tour tracks have the possibility of having mud, depending on the weather. Bring jackets and/or umbrellas just in case. Business casual is slacks or a skirt with a collared shirt or blouse and dress shoes. No sandels on the AgTours. Friday Afternoon/Evening Casual attire. Wear your letters. May also need jacket, depending on weather. Saturday Morning (Workshops/Career Fair) Business professional dress. Business professional attire is a suit or sport coat, button-up dress shirt, tie, slacks and dress shoes for gentlemen. Dress, blouse, slacks, skirt or suit is appropriate for ladies.Saturday Evening (Reception/Initiation/Banquet) Professional or formal attire required. Can we pay with separate checks/credit cards?Yes, you may pay with separate checks or a single check; single or separate Visa or MasterCards. Checks may be made payable to Alpha Zeta. All attendees must submit registration forms. If you plan to pay with a credit card, please call or fax the national office with your card information. DO NOT e-mail your credit card number, it's not secure. Is hotel included in the student registration?Yes, lodging is included in student registration fee. Please indicate a roommate preference on your registration form. If possible, you will be placed with that person. All rooms will be single sex. Alumni and advisors will not be placed with student members. Who should attend?Every chapter should send at least one delegate to represent the chapter's interests in the Conclave General Session. All student members, advisors, alumni, associate and honorary members are invited and strongly encouraged to attend. Guests and students from universities wishing to start AZ chapters are also welcome. Industry leaders and coporate partners are invited and may also request booth and interview space. Contact Alpha Zeta at (800) 225-3629 for more information. What do I need to bring?Student members should bring a pen or pencil, notebook and a positive attitude to all meetings and seminars. If you have access to a laptop computer, it is recommended that you bring it as well. Don't forget proper attire for all events and your AZ pin for all formal and business affairs. There will be a T-shirt exchange Thursday evening. Please bring an AZ T-shirt or university T-shirt to share. Chapters should bring a chapter banner. How can my chapter host a Conclave or NALC?Chapters interested in bidding on the 2008 NALC or 2009 Conclave may contact the National Office or submit Form #10 "Conclave or NALC Intent to Bid." Bids must be presented in person to the High Council or General Assembly a year in advance of the Conclave or NALC for which the chapter is bidding. Chapters should be prepared to solicit for sponsorships, donations or grants to support the conference. What if I need to cancel?Cancel before March 5 for full refund. After March 5, student registrations carry a $95 per person penalty for processing, hotel and meal guarantee. Alumni/advisor registrations cancelled after March 1 will be charged 30 percent of the total. All refunds will be issued after the conference. No refunds will be issued for one-day registrations or banquet tickets. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to the national office. Please inform the national office in advance if you cannot attend. Do I need my AZ pin?Yes. Members should wear their pins at all formal events, especially national conferences. Wear your pin as part of your business and formal attire during meetings, workshops and banquets. How do I get a roommate?Lodging is included in the registration fee. Student participants will be matched with other attendees from other chapters. Rooms will be in groups of four unless otherwise specified. You may request one roommate.
