HAPI-O Farms

Harmony Agricultural Products in Ohio (HAPI-Ohio), located behind the Honda Auto Plant in Marysville, began operations in mid-December, 1999, supplying high quality, food grade soybeans to Japan for the manufacture of tofu and soymilk.

Our ten-step "Total Quality Control" system ensures a higher level of certification of the seed through inspecting, monitoring, sampling, evaluating, and testing throughout the entire growing and processing seasons, from development of the seed, to delivery to the customer. Additionally, the staff is engaged in research activities to further evaluate new products and markets.

The processing facility runs non-GMO soybeans through the latest, state-of-the-art equipment, utilizing environment-friendly technology to produce the highest quality, most viable seed possible. The climate-controlled warehouse provides storage for a more consistent product throughout the hot summer shipping season by preserving the quality, freshness and taste.

Bob Evans Test Kitchen

Bob Evans Restaurants, with their red siding and yellow script signs, are a staple of roadsides and communities throughout the midwest. Columbus-based Bob Evans develops new recipies for its restaurants and packaged consumer goods at it's test kitchen.

Price Farm Organics

Price Farms Organics is a viable farming business in an urbanizing society. What we're doing may not make sense for other farmers that aren't as close to population centers as we are. We use many innovative methods to run a swine operation and a composting business and help our neighbors decrease their carbon footprint.

Slate Run Living Historical Farm

Time has been turned back to the 1880s at Slate Run Living Historical Farm. Visitors can experience first-hand what life was like on an Ohio farm more than 100 years ago.

As you stroll through the gardens, barns and farmhouse, you will see the farm costumed staff and volunteers going about their daily chores. What you won't see are gas-powered tractors or electric refrigerators.

You may see the farmer plowing the fields with the help of the draft horses. Inside the summer kitchen, the ladies may be canning and preserving crops from the heirloom garden. The farm is home to all kinds of heirloom animal breeds including the Poland China hog, Merino sheep and Percheron draft horses. Click here to read more...

Columbus Zoo

The Columbus Zoo is a world-renowned zoo and aquarium. Known as the home-base for Jack Hanna, it features hundreds of animal exhibits. Alpha Zeta will have dinner at the zoo. Participants will also be able to tour parts of the zoo after dinner.

AgCareers.com Travel Grants

Chapters often cite travel costs as a major factor in their inability to attend the National Agricultural Leadership Conference. AgCareers.com eliminated that excuse.

Agriculture’s top career Web site will award travel grants to chapters to attend the NALC.

Funding is available in three categories:

  1. Go Big or Stay Home: For chapters bringing of more than five members.
  2. Quality Crew: For groups of five or less.
  3. First-Time in a Long-Time: For chapters who have not attended an NALC in the last three years.

The award will be presented at the Awards Banquet on March 29. Applications are due to the National Office by March 1.
