Sometimes the word "impressive” isn’t strong enough.

Such is the case for UF’s chapter of Alpha Zeta, the nation’s oldest honors fraternity for agriculture students. At the Alpha Zeta 2010 National Agricultural Leadership Conference, UF took home seven of 16 top honors presented to chapters and individuals.

Chapters from 10 institutions attended the April 8-10 event in New Brunswick, NJ.

"It’s a huge honor to be recognized on a national level,” said Jean Saunders, a junior food science major and public relations director for the UF chapter. She was named member-at-large of the year.

"We all worked really hard this year to earn the awards we received,” she said. "I can only hope that we do even better next year.”
