Steve McShane Runs for City Council

AZ Alumni Steve McShane from the California Zeta Chapter at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, CA is running for Salinas City Council in District 3. Mr. McShane graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in soil science and earned a MBA from Santa Clara University. He is the founder of the Leadership Salinas Valley Alumni Association and the Central Coast Young Farmers and Ranchers.

Mr. McShane has held numerous positions in his community over the years. He was a Governor’s appointee to the California Post-secondary Education Commission and was elected to the Hartnell College Board of Trustees where he served as both Vice Chair and Chair. Mr. McShane has also served as an appointee to the City of Salinas Police Commission and Traffic & Transportation Commission where he served as Vice Chair. He currently serves on the County of Monterey Housing Advisory Commission and the City of Salinas Planning Commission as Vice Chair.
