NC Chapter can't get enough of hanging out with our local Firemen

This past Saturday, February 25th, the North Carolina chapter had the honor and privilege of preparing another delicious meal for our local heroes at Fire Station 20 in Raleigh, NC. We had a blast at a Brother’s apartment planning and creating a burrito bar for the firemen to enjoy.  We created beef with taco seasoning, Mexican chicken, and rice. We provided the tortillas, salsa, sour cream, chips, cheese, and avocados as toppings for our burritos. For dessert a Brother created an Oreo layer dessert with an Oreo butter crust, a cream cheese layer, a chocolate pudding layer, topped with whip cream and crushed Oreos. The firefighters were incredibly grateful for the food and invited us to stay and eat with them. While eating the delicious food we were able to have great conversation and even challenged one another to a game of trivia, which the firemen won unfortunately.  After eating and talking for a while we said our goodbyes. They firemen invited us back so that they could cook for us as a thank you for all the meals we have provided them. We are so thankful for the many opportunities to serve these heroes who risk their lives everyday keeping our community safe.
