To continue on our week of fun and exciting rush events, the brothers of the Cook Chapter hosted a game night on January 30th. We hosted the event in a public lounge on campus and the event was open to everyone. We brought video game systems and set them up on a huge flat screen TV in the lounge, and we even brought some classic board games like Scrabble and a deck of playing cards. AZ Friendsgiving

On December 8th the brothers of the Cook Chapter came together for our annual Friendsgiving potluck. This post Thanksgiving tradition is a great way for brothers to catch up after the break and unwind before the start of finals. We had a potluck dinner held at one of the brother’s homes where we spent the evening talking, eating, and enjoying each other’s company. We truly consider our brotherhood a family, that's why we have our own special holiday to celebrate!

Fall Formal

On November 22, the Cook Chapter held our Fall Formal. Brothers got dressed up and spent the night eating and dancing at the Heldrich Hotel in downtown New Brunswick. The formal is always the wrap up to our semester, before finals begin. Additionally, all of our brother awards for the semester are given out at formal.

On November 21, the brothers of the Cook Chapter took a night off from studying to go see the premier of the new Hunger Games movie. Everyone had fun munching on popcorn while enjoying the movie. Afterwards we went out for late night ice cream. It was a great time for everyone.

On October 25-27th, Rutgers University held their annual Homecoming weekend. One of the most exciting parts of the weekend is the football game. Tons of alumni and brothers of the Cook Chapter came together to celebrate Rutgers and have a great time. We all held a barbeque for everyone to eat and catch up and then all went to the game together. It was an awesome afternoon of talking, memories, and cheering on our alma mater. RU RAH RAH!

Each semester, Cook Chapter hosts the Big/Little Olympics! The fall semester Olympics were held on October 19th. In this exciting competition, big/little pairs compete for first place in a series of events including blob tag, dodgeball, passing pasta on straws and other fun relay races. On October 19, 2013, our new members and brothers went head to head in an Alpha Zeta scavenger hunt! There were a few new members and brothers on each team, and everyone had a couple of hours to take pictures with various things like signs and statues around campus. On October 11, Cook AZ held a music night for brothers and new members to relax and spend time together. We came up with rooms based on musical genres including country, pop, rap, and rock. Groups of brothers decorated each room and came up with a game relating to the genre for everyone to play like finish the lyrics, corn hole, and a rap battle. It was a fun night for the brothers and new members to spend time together.

Cal Delta- SLO High Fun Run

On January 25, 2014, several Cal Delta Members participated in San Luis Obispo High School’s SLO Blast Color Fun Run. Members ran the 5k and were then blasted with color. Proceeds went to fund scholarships for SLO High students. Cal Delta members had a great time giving back to the community and bonding during the color fight at the end.

On January 18th, nine brothers of the North Carolina Chapter attended a service event at the GCF Farm Center located in Durham, NC. We helped to harvest about 1,200 pounds of collard greens that will feed about 2,400 people.  After the service event they gave us a tour of the farm.  The GCF Farm Center is a part of the Goodwill Corporation of Eastern North Carolina.
