Valentine's Day Cards

Valentine's Day Cards

Originally posted by Aubrey B. Weibel

In order to get ready for Valentine's Day, the brothers of AZ Cook chapter decided to make Valentine's cards for the pediatric ward of St. Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.  These themed cards varied in colors, designs and heart-warming messages.  The Brothers felt that by making these cards, they would be able to put a smile on a child's face.  The brothers really were able to showcase their creativity while designing the cards with stickers, stamps, markers and cut-outs.  Through card-making, the brothers were able to make children smile on Valentine’s Day.  This chapter has a lot of heart and definitely extended their kindness to children who know that the brothers of Alpha Zeta really care.

However, one event each Rush semester is needed to give more detailed information to these rushes so that they are aware of exactly what AZ is and what it represents. Everyone dresses business casual and the night begins with an information session held by the Censor and Sergeant...

That is why Alpha Zeta Cook Chapter always hosts a s’mores rush event. The event is held right outside of our unofficial home, the Cook Campus Center and brothers come to eat some delicious s’mores while interacting with potential new members about why Alpha Zeta is so amazing. This event is open to anyone who wishes to come by...

It’s the first week of the semester and the second week of rush and everyone at the Cornell Chapter knows what that means…BROOMBALL! Over the years, broomball, which for those of you who don’t know is sort of like hockey without skates, has become a tradition for the house and a way to recruit new members. Who doesn’t enjoy sliding around on ice, in the middle of winter, especially in upstate NY!

On September 12th, Cook chapter gathered in front of the campus center to enjoy another summer night. Here AZ brothers kindled potential new members by lighting a fire to roast up s'mores. Brothers intermingled with other students interested in joining the fraternity and enlightened them on all AZ has to offer. Many students were interested and brothers were happy to share their experiences in Alpha Zeta. The smell of s'mores filled the air and harvested a large crowd. Brothers bonded, stories were shared, all laughed and enjoyed their treats.
