Cal Epsilon Alumni Highlight - Meet Ariel Diggan!

"I've always advocated for ways to promote agriculture in a professional and positive light, and I appreciated that Alpha Zeta offered an outlet to network with other like-minded agricultural scholars. I thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the members of the club; there is definitely a welcoming culture in Alpha Zeta that compliments its strong morals very well."

We had a chance to chat with Cal Epsilon alumna, Ariel Diggan! Ariel graduated from Fresno State in 2014 with a Bachelors in Animal Science, emphasis in Equine Science. She now oversees Fresno State's Quarter Horse Unit and Student Horse Centers! Ariel plans to return to Fresno State in the fall to teach basic-level equine courses as a student instructor while she works towards her Master's in Animal Science, focusing on poultry nutrition. Dana G. Dalrymple, November 5, 1932 - March 7, 2018

Dana G. Dalrymple, a 36-year veteran of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), worked to improve farming practices worldwide. Most of his career was spent working for CGIAR, formerly the Consultative Group for International Agriculture Research, which he supported soon after its inception in 1972.  As an agricultural economist, he shaped the policies, programs and budgets of the agency’s Washington headquarters and 16 international centers in South America, Africa and Asia, and he traveled to most of them.

Dalrymple, 85, died of complications from pneumonia on March 7 at his home in Washington, D.C. after suffering from dementia. Colleagues, friends and family will celebrate his life at a later date to be announced.
