Homecoming Charity Bed Races

Homecoming Charity Bed Races

Originally posted by Aubrey B. Weibel

As part of Rutgers' Homecoming spirit week, Cook Chapter participated in the annual Bed Races. Each group was given a hospital bed and a week. The purpose was to pick a theme and decorate both your bed and your racers in that theme. Cook Chapter this year decided on the farming/Wizard of Oz theme. Our name was spelled out in corn husks on the front, while corn stalks grew out of the bed posts. Our bed rider dressed up as the wicked witch of the west, even coloring her face green. Each team has two people running and pushing the bed and one person on it. Other themes included the Rugrats, where the bed was Raptar, the Blue Man Group, Nintendo, and Christmas...

Cornell Chapter Faculty Wine and Cheese

Originally posted by Rebecca S. Terry

Every semester members of the Cornell chapter host a faculty wine and cheese. The event is a way to get to know the faculty better and show them our house. As always, there is a variety of wine and cheese to sample. Since members are from different majors it provides an opportunity to get to know professors outside of one’s major. It is also an opportunity for members to practice wearing business professional dress. Chronicler, Danielle Sanok, planned this year’s wine and cheese. The event is put on every fall semester, with a faculty dinner every spring. The wine and cheese was a great success and we look forward to the next faculty event.

Cornell Chapter Participates in a Corn Maze

Originally posted by Rebecca S. Terry

Actives from the Cornell chapter joined other agricultural organizations on campus to participate in a corn maze. A few of the other clubs who participated included Collegiate FFA and the National Society for Collegiate Scholars. Since we attended the maze at night it proved to be spooky for some! However, many choose to find their way out of the 10 acre maze without a flashlight. Everyone had a great a time and we look forward to attending again next fall. The theme for the maze changes every year, this year it was in the shape of a miniature golf course. The event was a success last year and proved to be just as much fun this year.

NC Induction Ceremony

Originally posted by Ashley J. Kirby

This semester, the North Carolina Chapter is proud to welcome 7 new members to the brotherhood. 35 brothers attended inductions on Wednesday, October 24th at 6:30pm. We were thankful to have High Chancellor Weston McCorkle there to participate in the ceremony as well.  The traditional ceremony helps the new brothers understand why Alpha Zeta was founded as well as goals of the organization.  We joined in congratulating the newest members of our chapter and challenging them to grow during there time in the chapter. After the ceremony, we watched a slide show of pictures from rush and candidate education week.
