Year End Checklist for Chapters

Below are just a few of the things we ask our chapters to complete each year.  Please ensure you complete these along with sending in your membership roster before school ends!

Three Posts on the Chapter Activity Blog

We ask that chapters submit a minimum of three (3) Chapter Activity Report(s) to the Chapter Activity Blog on the AZ website annually.

Officer/Adviser Form

Did you recently elect new chapter officers? Log in to the AZ website and submit your Officer/Adviser Form electronically within 10 days of an election. Please make sure the National Office has up-to-date information for your chapter!

IRS Form 990-N

Has your chapter filed their 990-N e-postcard with the IRS?  If you are tax-exempt and wish to stay that way (meaning your chapter does not have to pay income tax to the IRS on any and all money coming in to your chapter) you must file a 990-N with the IRS on an annual basis. If your chapter does not file for three consecutive years, the IRS will revoke your tax-exempt status.  If your chapter has already filed, please forward a copy of your confirmation of filing to the National Office (info@alphazeta.org) so that we have it on file.

Don't Forget Your Honor Cords and Stoles!

Will you be graduating this semester?  Congratulations!  Make sure you place your order for a stole or honor cord well before your graduation date.  As a reminder, you must be a member in good standing to purchase these items - this means you must have your national student dues!  For chapters that are making a group purchase, you must supply a list of who you are purchasing a stole or honor cord for so we can confirm they are all in good standing.  Please contact us at info@alphazeta.org with any questions.
