Alpha zeta has always been transmitting agriculture knowledge and teaching in the practice how to work with our lands. This important task is not only for the benefit of our students, it’s also a tool for our community that is always disposed to learn participating of our activities. This time Alpha Zeta was helping an organization called ENACTUS to prepare a vegetable garden in an Elementary School called Felipe Odiott in Añasco Puerto Rico. ENACTUS has different projects that have social, economic and environmental impact as its purpose that affect us today. However, the purpose of this organization in the school was directed to the agricultural sector in a project called Seeds for success. Alpha Zeta also said present collaborating and helping the children to create a vegetable garden. The initiative was to elaborate it with recycling materials and integrating the Alpha Zeta and ENACTUS members with teachers and children to prepare the garden impacting the social, economic, and environmental concerns. The fruits and vegetables produced in the garden will be presented to their community and also the students will sell the produced crops to maintain and expand their vegetable garden.
