NC Chapter finds that making Rum is an extensive process

The North Carolina Chapter recently had the opportunity to visit a local distillery right in the heart of the capitol of our state. Three men who had a love for the many amazing craft beers found in North Carolina started this company. They noticed that there was a distinct lack in the amount of options on the liquor shelves and thus started their own rum company to fix this. We were able to learn about the long process it takes to make a bottle of rum from scratch. It was interesting to learn about all of the work that goes into making this product, as well as learn that rum is created from sugarcane byproducts, such as molasses or sugarcane juice. It was a privilege to learn about this small company created here in North Carolina and be able to share in this experience with our fellow brothers.
