The rush events for this year consisted of our annual event Bat Watching with the Chancellor, and a few new events like Swing Dancing and a Road Clean-up. The events were a great time for potential pledges to get a feel for what events we do and see if they like how they fit in our chapter...

NC Boards on the Bricks

To get our word out about our information sessions, we set up our boards on the brickyard September 7th and 8th. Brothers stood at the boards in between classes so that if a student had questions about Alpha Zeta they could answer them. We had several students who were interested. This was a good time for the brotherhood to interact with other students and each other.

UF Spring '11 Pledge Class Initiation 4-19-11

Initiation is a tradition of Alpha Zeta chapters around the country. Each semester each chapter initiates their pledge class. This semester the UF chapter of AZ initiated 21 new members! With pledges, their sponsors, officers, and members, there was around 50 people in attendance! The banquet was one of our best! It was held outdoors at the Haile Plantation Gold and Country Club and planned by our pledge master, Sara Molloy. The singing fraternity of Phi Mu Alpha came and serenaded the graduating girls that were in attendance. Our student advisor, Mark Marcojos, was also recognized for his 10 year service to the UF chapter of AZ.
