As one of our service projects this semester, 11 brothers went to the Wake County SPCA Food Pantry to volunteer our time to help with something they needed done. For two hours the brothers got to mark off the bar codes on dog food to prevent the people, who were getting a bag for free the next day, from taking them back to the stores and getting money from them. After the brothers finished the assignment that was given to them, they got to interact with the animals at the shelter until they had to leave. The brothers really enjoyed their time with the animals and appreciated the opportunity they got to help several animals and their families. We got word from the SPCA the next week saying how the giveaway of dog food was a success and that they really wanted us to come back again to help more.
