The UF Chapter of Alpha Zeta has adopted a road in our community with the commitment to keep it clean by doing regular road clean-up service events. While it is a service project, the attending members always enjoy being outside and socializing. Planning includes getting the materials such as orange, safety vests, garbage tongs and bags, and gloves. This road clean-up was also paired with a rush event for potential pledge/members. This gave a great opportunity for everyone to get to know each other more and learn more about our organization. As previously mentioned our Service Chair is Kaitlyn Summerfield. The reason we had three road clean-ups scheduled close together is because the calendar year for clean-ups is October through the following September with six clean-ups required. Since we are not collectively here over the summer, road clean-ups at the beginning of the semester are necessary and a good way to get back to serving our community.
