On Wednesday, February 25, 2015 we held our informal meeting for Alpha Zeta. Potential new members were invited to the meeting and we had a large turnout. The existing members mingled with the perspective members in a game of human bingo and Alumni Monique Bienvenue spoke to us about the Color me 5K run on campus.

During the February formal meeting we met at Marie Calendars to discuss the upcoming Gala which will take place on May 2nd. It'll be in the Fresno State Alumni house and we are looking for items to be auctioned off in a silent auction. Our Ag Outreach committee set up a full day of industry tours on May 7th and the community service committee has several community service activities scheduled for the next few months. During this meeting we signed Valentine's Day cards for children at Valley Children's Hospital that were delivered and distributed to the children. We were also welcomed by our professional guest speaker, Dr. Levi, who discussed study abroad opportunities, addressed many of our fears and encouraged all of us to look into. Thank you Dr. Levi for taking time to speak to our group.

On March 3, 2015, the Cal Epsilon chapter participated in the annual
Kid's Day newspaper fundraiser, selling special editions of the Fresno
Bee benefiting Valley Children's Hospital. The Cal Epsilon chapter sold
200 newspaper at an intersections on campus near the beef pastures. Cal
Epsilon is proud to announce that we were able to raise over $376 to help Valley Children's Hospital!
We are humbled to participate, once again, at this annual event and are
proud to have made a difference in the lives of children across the
valley.

On Wednesday, January 28th, we held our first meeting of the year. We passed around an information card to get members grad dates, birthdays and favorite memories so that we can begin doing shout outs for members birthdays. We also sent our members on a photo scavenger hunt. They had 10 minutes to take pictures in 4 locations. Even though the winning team was one of the last ones back, they were the only group to follow directions! Great job team!

California Alpha Zeta Chapters Cal Eta and Cal Delta joined the Cal Epsilon Chapter in Fresno for the first California Alpha Zeta Brotherhood retreat. Members spent the day discussing bylaws, fundraising and communication. They played numerous ice breakers including Skit in a Bag, The Key Game, and the hilarious pterodactyl. Members even got up and moving with a scavenger hunt and a game of bowling during lunch. This retreat helped create new friendships, gain insight with how Alpha Zeta works for different chapters and helped bring some ideas into our own chapter. Thank You to the Cal Eta and Cal Delta Chapters for driving out, thank you to all members that attended, and Special Thank you to Beatriz Rodriguez for planning the event.

New Member Class Creates Their Own Paddles (Keys)
On November 24th, 2014 the Cal Epsilon chapter stormed the University Wood Shop by surprise. During the three hour allotted time span, the new member class of Fall 2014 was able to construct their new member Alpha Zeta paddles (keys) all by hand. The new members enjoyed creating their own paddles in the shop. Each one was tailored just right to fit the personality of the beholder. Way to go, Cal Epsilon Fall 14's. You make us proud!

We will have a chance for members to tour Pitman farms mid December through an organized tour.
